Mati Claire got her first 2 teeth on Monday! That explains her behaviour lately! She got both her bottom two at the same time! Mom called me at work to tell me and I almost started crying (I guess I am that emotional mother). Its funny how the smallest things can make you cry and so proud! Of course, it made MC cry too. :)
My sister and nieces came down to visit this past week. Mati Claire loved it! We had their picture taken together and they all wore the same outfit--so cute! Mati Claire came down with a fever last night and didn't go to sleep until 3 am. She seems fine today, but it looks like a good old-fashioned cold (sneezing, coughing, runny nose, fever). She's playing and eating well today though. The workers had to come get me out of Sunday School this past Sunday because they couldn't calm her down. I think teething and separation anxiety adds to it.
Mom, Heather, and I got to do some shopping on a brighter note. Mom babysat all 3 so Matt and I could do our Valentine's Dinner Sunday night. Kennedy finally decided to say "Mama" and "Gigi." We were all in Vicksburg Saturday to attend Whitney's surprise wedding shower! It was good to see everyone. MC got to see all 3 of her cousins this past weekend. We visited her cousin Kendall for lunch and borrowed her swing!!! We are so ready for the rain to stop and enjoy some play days outside!
Happy Valentine's Day !!! Mati Claire enjoyed her playdate at the Winborne's this morning. She got lots of Valentines and loves being around other kids. Jack is such a ladies' man! :) Her favorite Valentine was from her Daddy. She got a single red rose and lots of hugs and kisses! Mom is going to babysit this weekend so we can go out to dinner and a movie.
Matt and I have booked our trip to Chicago in May. This will be our first trip to leave MC behind with my parents. I'm already getting anxious about leaving her for a few days. What am I going to do without her??? At least I have a few more months to prepare myself. Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day and gets lots of kisses!
Our little angel has been just that this week. She turned 7 months on Friday. And we think her hair is starting to lay down a little. Hats are working for us. We went to the park on Thursday, which was only her second time. It is hard at her age to play but she definitely watches the people and likes other kids. We will have to install a swing in our backyard later! Today, she had her pictures taken and went to Sam's 2nd Birthday party! She likes hanging out with Jack (our neighbor who is 2 months older).
I'm working on finding a new picture for the blog's title page. Matt is always working so its gonna be hard to get a family picture. When I do get one, I'll see about changing the title too.
Thanks for the suggestions, Sara! My brother-in-law, Rob, mentioned that Matt and I should name our next kid, Cyrus! Too funny!!!!
We hosted a Superbowl party this past weekend for the Sunday School class. It was alot of fun. And we were so excited to see the Giants win! Mati Claire still wasn't feeling up for visitors so she stayed at her nana's house down the road. She's FINALLY feeling better and acting like her usual self now. I think she must have hit a growth spurt this past month because she can put away food!
I wanted to dig up the old pic of me and Eli Manning at Mardi Gras a few years ago. I think its hilarious now. He was a "Rebel" then.
CONGRATULATIONS James and Laura! We are all so happy for you!
We filled over 600 prescriptions Monday at the store in Brandon, and half of that was flu cases. So everyone, try to stay healthy and stay away from sick people! :)
