Miley's World War

Yes, we've had World War III around this house this past weekend. We bought a new vehicle with the intention of replacing my car. After getting the Tahoe, Matt decided he JUST HAD TO HAVE IT...aka...a kid in a candy store. Seeing as he just got his Navigator not less than a year ago, he said I should "inherit" the Nav. I suggested that we keep my car if I had to "inherit" the old one. We now have 3 black vehicles. MATT is the owner of the new Tahoe.

"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things...But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger..." Colossians 3:2-8

Day Trip to Mobile, AL

We drove to Mobile, AL on Friday to pick up my new vehicle. We bought it from a couple that was really nice and just had a baby themselves. I still don't understand why they were trying to "size down" with a new baby...when I'm trying to "size up." I explained that I couldn't get groceries in the car if I had the stroller and all of her stuff. I couldn't pick up her car seat out of the base without lowering the handle first.

I have to recommend a restaurant that was recommended to us. If you go through Mobile, just after the causeway, there is a restaurant called Felix's Seafood. Awesome! I ordered the crab cakes on fried green tomatoes topped with a cheesy sauce and more crab meat! Highly recommended!

After all the driving, we were too tired to go to Starkville today to attend Kayla Conrad's wedding. Congratulations, Kayla! And the roads were questionable in this nasty weather we've had lately. I can not wait for summer!

I've been told that MileyWorld is cheesy (thanks, summer!) but we can't think of anything else. So comments are welcome if you have any new suggestions. and that alot of people will be looking at our site since Miley Cyrus also has a page called MileyWorld. I never thought I'd be competing for my own name with a teenager.

Mati Claire has discovered how to REALLY use the walker this week. She went from moving by accident to barreling towards you at full speed. She did better than expected with her shots. She weighs 16 lbs. 8 oz. and is 26 1/2 in long now!

My family has not been feeling well this week. I hope everyone gets better soon!

Carrie turned 29!

It's been a crazy week. Saturday was my birthday...I'm choosing to stay 29 for the rest of my life. I feel SO old. I got the best gift ever- SNOW! We didn't let Mati Claire play in it (regretfully). Sunday, I got a speeding ticket on the way to church. I put all blame on Matthew though, seeing as it was his fault I was running late. Not only was I speeding, but also driving without a license! The cop was really mean, and I literally cried my eyes out the whole time because I just got a speeding ticket about a month ago on the Trace. Needless to say, we turned back around and went home...never made it to church.

Mati Claire gets her 6 mo shots on Tuesday! She's been fussy this past week and I guess it will continue into this week after shots. She's growing so fast! No teeth yet. She's sitting up very well and grabbing everything. She absolutely hates veggies, but I wouldn't be a mother if I didn't make her eat at least a few bites every time. She's been really sweet lately. She's learned to "hug" and "kiss." Its hilarious every time she does it because she gets slobber all over me!

I like working part time now. It's a good compromise. Matt seems to be enjoying working at Baptist. He's under the weather the last few days which is rare. My niece Kendall gets tubes in her ears on Thursday. I hope this week goes smoothly for everyone!
