My Funny Valentines

Wow. It has been crazy busy this week at our house.  And I'm too exhausted to tell you about any of it.  So I'm posting a pic of my little Valentines (3's a crowd, huh?) and going to do an update on Merritt.

Merritt is 7 months old now!  She weighs 12 lbs. 4 oz !  Which to me is huge - but then I see her next to  another baby...and she still looks like a newborn almost.  But she really isn't THAT far behind the average size baby.  She is desperately trying to sit up, but no success yet.  She is a drooling machine, but no teeth yet.  She started eating baby food this month... but has not mastered it yet.  She seems to like peas, oatmeal, rice cereal, and peaches the best so far.  Squash hasn't made the top of her list on several tries.  She wears 3-6 month size clothes (3 months are too small but 6 months are too big - so its a definitive "3-6 mo."), and size 1 diapers.  The biggest most notable FACT about her right now is that she STILL only sleeps 2-4 hours at a time.  4 hrs on a good night, 1-2 on a bad night.  I.am.exhausted.beyond.words.  7 months....of never having more than 4 consecutive hours of sleep.  I'm still breastfeeding so some people might accuse me of doing this to myself - but I won't stop breastfeeding just for sleep...as desperate as I am for it.   Don't get me started on my pro-breastfeeding soapbox.  Another person has told me "you can sleep when you're dead."  good point.   Mati Claire started sleeping 8 hours at 5 months and Mattox (surprisingly after his colic phase) jumped into 8-12 hours around 3 months.  7 months is killing me.

Ok enough complaining.  Did I mention how tired I was?

And it's Merritt's first Valentine's Day!  how sweet is this little cupid? xOxO from our little O baby!

Thank you for sharing your story! I was just hitting the next blog button on Blogger and stumbled on yours! It has been a pleasure reading about this "adventure" in your life. Your children are beautiful and I am going to subscribe! My eldest was 5 pounds when she was born, it took her about 3 years to catch up to the other kids - still wearing newborn clothing at 6 months old! She is still short (age 15 and 5'2") but perfect and always my baby :) Best wishes, prayers and loves from my family to yours!
