I've Fallen Asleep and Can't Wake Up

Well, I'm due March 18th...but the doctor says she'll take it a week early - so I'll have it around March 11th. I'm 8 weeks and everything looked good yesterday at my first appointment! I think its another girl... pregnancy is a little different but overall pretty much the same so far - and just my mother's intuition! We'll see! hahaha!

I'm really tired this week. I grab a nap any chance I get! So if I don't blog - don't worry - I'm just asleep. Plus I'm nesting EARLY! I don't clean because I have to --- I WANT to clean! Huh? Tyanne was so nice to keep Mati Claire for me this morning so I could sleep longer! Thank you, Tyanne!

Our first video!

Excuse her mouth full of food throughout most of this...she had JUST woken up (bed hair/pajamas/breakfast...you get the idea). But it just cracks us up when she says "I'm toot!" meaning "I'm cute." No, we don't go around telling her how cute she is all the time. I think we were telling Kennedy one day last week that she looked cute in some particular outfit; and well, monkey see monkey do. So its so sad that this is MC's first video appearance and she's in her pj's!!!!

We have our 2 year old checkup tomorrow. Will keep you posted how that goes! Dad, this video is for you!

7/8/9

My sweetheart turned 2 today. It has been a wonderful day. I gave her my full attention ALL DAY! I let her sleep late...ate lunch at Chick-Fil-A...made taco soup for dinner...and cupcakes! The only fit she threw was when Matt and I sang 'Happy Birthday' to her! Oh well, I would probably cry too if I had to hear my singing.



Here's my nerd moment for the day: I thought it was weird that Matt and I got married on 6/5/04. I got an email telling us how today would not happen again for a century I think: at 12:34 and 56 seconds on 7/8/9...it uses every number in sequence. Pretty neat since its her birthday too. Special day all around. And we watch ALOT of Sprout TV here, so I sent her name in the other day. They announced it on TV tonight! We have tried so many times (last year and with my nieces) and they finally put it on there! Yay! It is hilarious when she says "I toot" MEANING "I'm cute!" I guess when you tell her that often enough it sticks. Happy Birthday, squirt!

Party Peeps

Mati Claire had her birthday party Saturday! I can't believe she's 2 already! Her vocabulary has exploded in the last few days. Every day she picks up at least 3 new words. Unbelievable. Anyway, I figured I owed it to her 2 years of age to put her hair in 2 pigtails and give her a big double-layer cake! The party was safari-themed...hence the animal print outfits. Finally feeling better today! This is the first day in exactly 2 weeks that I have felt good. Maybe it's all the oreo balls and food that I ate over the weekend! Let me tell you - I fell off the wagon hard! After the party ended, we headed straight to the lake to celebrate the 4th of July! It was great to have both sides of the family there! Fireworks were awesome, too! Already looking forward to next year! My sister took some really good pictures at the lake so I will post some of those later (or you can see them on her Facebook).

We enjoyed having my family here to visit for the past week. MC looked depressed this morning when she realized everyone had left. She quit the potty training cold turkey! Did it for 4 days and said she had enough. Won't even go in the bathroom now. I knew it was too good to be true. She told me she didn't want to waste time in the potty...just wanted to party with her people.
